After many attempts at trying to get rid of my pimples, I finally got around to trying out the highly touted ThermaClear zit zapper device. Was this rather unique looking contraption, shaped like a phaser, the answer to my pimple ridden hell??? Here's my Thermaclear review....

Before we get into the detailed Thermaclear reviews, here's a quick overview of the Thermaclear acne reduction device. Thermaclear is an FDA approved handheld device that treats pimples in seconds and clears pimples, acnes and zits in a little over 24 hours!! This battery operated device works by producing a short, controlled pulse of highly concentrated heat that works on the skin and eliminates the bacteria, thereby helping your skin heal much faster than other conventional treatments.

Thermaclear is easy to hold and not at all uncomfortable. Infact, the devide fit neatly in my palm. I slid open the cover and turned on my Thermaclear device by pressing the On/Off button for 2-3 seconds. The blue tip started to flash and it took about 8-10 seconds to charge the device and signal that it was ready to be used. Really fast, so that was a great start. Thermaclear also provides two different heat settings that can be set by the user - Low and High. I would recommend starting on a Low setting before moving onto High..

With the device fully charged and the heat setting in place, I placed the blue tip on one of my fresh pimples and pressed the Pulse button. I felt a very mild sting for a fraction of a second, but it was definitely not painful at all (in fact, after the first 2-3 uses, I hardly even noticed the sensation). And in two seconds, the pulsation stopped indicating that the device had done its magic.

The Thermaclear device took a few seconds to recharge (same flashing blue tip) and it was then ready to be used on my next pimple. Very cool!! I tried it out on a few other pimples and in less than a minute, I had pretty much gone over my pimply face. One point I wanted to mention is that Thermaclear clearly mentions that you should not exceed three treatments per zit in a 24 hour period, so make sure not to overuse the device.

The next morning, I got up with all sort of doubts crossing my mind - was this device just another hype or did it perform? I closed my eyes, went to the mirror and then gradually opened my eyes to look at my face...WOW!! I could clearly see that every single pimple had significantly reduced in size. Some of the really larger, uglier looking ones, had been reduced to smaller, hardly noticeable pimples. What a difference in 24 hours!!

Within 48 hours, those pimples were history...my face was clear again. Ofcourse, Thermaclear cannot prevent fresh pimples from erupting, but I was glad to have a treatment that could immediately target these new pimples.

I have not noticed any side-effects with the Thermaclear, expect for some occasional redness once in a while.

The other point I also wanted to mention is that this device is extremely portable ith a ridiculously long battery life. So, slip it into your pocket or handbag and you have a handy companion to address those sudden skin eruptions.

Bottomline - if you can afford the $150 (Thermaclear does not currently offer a coupon or discount code), then definitely get a Thermaclear. Its well worth the money (not to mention the fact that you will end up saving by not having to buy all those pimple creams anymore!!).
